Trevor Ariza, James Harden lead Houston over Dallas

Trevor Ariza has rediscovered his long-range shooting, and that is really good news for James Harden and the Houston Rockets.

Ariza scored a season-high 29 points, Harden had 23 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists, and the Rockets rallied for a 115-104 win over visiting Dallas on Sunday.

Ariza made a season-high six three-pointers after making five Friday, following a three-game stretch in which he made only four combined.

Chandler Parsons had a season-high 31 points for the Mavericks.

Tyronn Lue didn’t make much of a difference in his head-coaching debut for Cleveland as Pau Gasol scored 25 points for visiting Chicago.

Lue was promoted Friday, when the Cavaliers shockingly fired David Blatt despite his taking the team to the NBA Finals last season and leading the Eastern Conference this season.

DeMarcus Cousins had a career high 48 points and 13 rebounds to help host Sacramento win its season-high fifth straight game.

Danilo Gallinari scored 30 points, including the go-ahead jumper with 23.8 seconds remaining, for host Denver.

Archie Goodwin hit a three-pointer from atop the arc with 0.1 of a second left and host Phoenix ended a six-game skid.

Shabazz Muhammad scored 25 points and host Minnesota snapped Memphis’ four-game winning streak.
