De La Salle boys, Miramonte girls are No. 1

The top of the charts remained moderately stable — in particular on the girls’ side of the ledger — but there was quite a bit of tumult near the bottom of this week’s Chronicle boys and girls top 20 rankings.

While the top seven girls teams held the positions they held a week ago, only the first three boys teams did the same.

De La Salle-Concord remains the No. 1 boys team, and is followed by Moreau Catholic-Hayward and St. Francis-Mountain View.

[...] every other team moved up or down at least one spot and the bottom four teams are new to the poll.

Unbeaten Miramonte-Orinda — the seventh-ranked team in the country according to MaxPreps — is No. 1 in the girls rankings, ahead of Mitty and Salesian-Richmond.
