CBS has trouble streaming Super Bowl to Apple TV, other devices

Viewers reported problems Sunday trying to stream Super Bowl 50 online using the CBS Sports app on various devices, including Apple TV.

The CBS team also tweeted that it was working on problems involving computers using an older version of the Chrome browser and on tablets running on older versions of Google’s Android operating system.

Other viewers complained that the CBS app did not run on the Xbox One video game console.

The NFL and other sports leagues, keenly aware that younger viewers are increasingly turning away from traditional television sources, have experimented with streaming games to recapture those audiences.
