Father dies after carrying daughter, 8, out of burning home

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a man who carried one of his children out of a burning western New York apartment house and went back inside to rescue others was one of two people to die in the fire.

Authorities say a man living in the downstairs apartment carried his 8-year-old daughter outside before going back in for his wife and two other children, who made it out safely.
