Heidi's pics: 'Sculpted in Steel' celebrates artistry on wheels

The exhibit spans the years 1929-1940 and flows in a chronological order, from the flawless Cords, Bugatti and Edsel Ford's personal concept roadster that greet you early on, all the way to the 1940 Chrysler Thunderbolt concept car at the finale.

Ken Gross, former director of the famed Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, is the guest speaker of the show, and his extensive knowledge lends an insightful view into the history and legacy of these rare vehicles of the Art Deco era.

A testament to the involvement of the museum, the exhibit is inspiring various special events, including hosting a spin class prior to the exhibit's public debut, and adding a retro theme to their regular Happy Hour Thursdays with themed cocktails and music.
