Iowa House, Senate pass legislation on K-12 education

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Lawmakers in the Iowa Legislature have approved legislation that would increase K-12 education spending for the upcoming fiscal year.

A special committee tasked with reaching a funding agreement announced a deal Tuesday, but it needed formal approval in the chambers.
