2-star LB Jordan Kunaszyk commits to Cal

Thursday morning, seven weeks removed from signing day, the Bears helped shore up that spot with a commitment from American River College freshman Jordan Kunaszyk.

Kunaszyk earned JUCO Freshman All-American honors after piling up 118 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and three pass breakups for the Beavers.

After Jake Kearney medically retired and Michael Barton transferred to Arizona, the Bears returned just three rotation regulars at linebacker:

Linebacker Aisea Tongilava, who missed last season with a toe injury, will re-join the fold in 2016.

To encourage competition, head coach Sonny Dykes has moved safety Evan Rambo and cornerback A.J. Greathouse to linebacker for spring ball.
