Alleged leader in polygamous fraud case let out of jail
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Another one of the alleged ringleaders of a multi-million dollar food stamp fraud scheme in a polygamous sect on the Utah-Arizona has been released from jail.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/232Je2N ) Nephi Allred was given his release Wednesday when judge Ted Stewart decided prosecution's evidence that Allred helped sect leader Warren Jeffs evade capture in the mid-2000s wasn't sufficient.
