BIA officer charged in wife's kidnapping released from jail

(AP) — A former U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs police officer charged with the kidnapping of his wife following an incident at their home on the Wind River Indian Reservation has been released from jail pending trial.

A criminal complaint says Curran's wife reported her husband had forced her into their basement, handcuffed her wrists and ankles and threatened to kill her.
