Police: Miami officer shoots man who kidnapped woman

MIAMI (AP) — Miami police say an officer fatally shot a shotgun-wielding man who had kidnapped a woman and forced her into the trunk of a vehicle.

Det. Jennifer Capote of the Miami-Dade Police Department said in a statement that officers were dispatched Wednesday evening to a report of a woman who had been kidnapped by an estranged domestic partner.
