Albuquerque school board appoints Reedy as superintendent

Valentino had faced criticism after the district failed to complete its background check on then-deputy superintendent Jason Martinez, who had been charged with sexual assault on a child in Colorado.

Reedy came to the district in 1976 as a special education teacher.
