Tesla grabs Audi exec to help ramp up production

Peter Hochholdinger will be responsible for ramping up and improving production of Tesla’s popular Model S sedan and new Model X crossover SUV at the company’s Fremont factory.

Quality issues and a recall have slowed the introduction of the Model X, which first hit the market in September.

According to Tesla, he has been responsible for the annual production of about 400,000 vehicles — close to Tesla’s target.
