Michael Mina, Ayesha Curry team for latest Test Kitchen project

Ayesha Curry — media personality, cookbook author and wife of NBA superstar Stephen Curry — is adding a new line to her resume: restaurateur.

According to Curry, who is friends with Mina, the two have talked about doing something together for some time.

Barbecue seemed to be a natural fit —Mina is well versed in the ways of slow-cooked meat, thanks to his Tailgate menus at Levi’s Stadium.

[...] rather than the gut-busting cliche of American barbecue, Mina and Curry will focus on lighter fare, with grilled and smoked meats.

Curry’s multinational roots (she is of Chinese, Jamaican, African American and Polish descent) will be evident in the menu.

The menu will shift slightly every month or so, and will even feature some dishes from Curry’s cookbook, The Seasoned Life:

The restaurant’s popular Sunday brunch offering, Diane’s Bloody Mary Brunch, will continue to operate in conjunction with the new project.
