Murder charge dropped against suspected Austin judge shooter

HOUSTON (AP) — Harris County prosecutors have dropped a murder charge against a 28-year-old Houston-area man who authorities have said is a suspect in the shooting and wounding of a state judge in Austin.

Onyeri's attorney says the Houston murder was dismissed because prosecutors had a Monday deadline to provide him with evidence in the Houston slaying at an apartment complex.
