Mom convicted over Facebook post to get new trial
ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) — A New Mexico woman convicted of creating a public nuisance by posting an online comment about the possibility of a shooting at her son's school will get a new trial.
According to Ragsdale, Alvarez intends to file a lawsuit against the city of Roswell in federal court.
School officials reported at least 100 phone calls and 160 student absences after the post.
