Pipeline developers appeal New York permit rejection

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Constitution Pipeline Company has appealed New York's denial of a critical permit and asked a federal court to take away the state's permitting authority for the project.

The state Department of Environmental Conservation last month denied a water quality permit for the 124-mile pipeline from Pennsylvania's shale fields to eastern New York.
