UT police officer accidentally shoots self, hospitalized

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Officials say a University of Texas police officer accidentally shot himself outside of the campus police department.

Posey says weapon was unintentionally discharged in a secure outdoor area outside of the department headquarters where officers do weapons checks.
