Mom sues school district to stop transgender bathroom use

School administrators announced Friday that they would comply with a directive from President Barack Obama's administration that public schools must permit transgender students to use facilities consistent with their chosen gender identity.

A day earlier, the American Civil Liberties Union filed a civil rights complaint against Marion County Public Schools for limiting students to using bathrooms corresponding to their gender at birth.
