‘Dirty Me Divine’ — good girls and rebels
Spoken-word performance artist Christina Dunbar charts her own struggle in her one-woman show “Dirty Me Divine,” which she’ll perform on Friday, May 20, at the Stage Werx Theatre in San Francisco.
Taking on the guises of nearly a dozen characters, Dunbar explores views of women — from sexy to innocent, from powerful to divine — and in doing so, as she puts it, looks at her own “confusing beliefs about my body, my erotic power, and my right to be heard.”
With humor and honesty, Dunbar takes her viewers along with her on her journey toward becoming a “hot and holy” woman playing by her own rules.
