Exchange student, pilot ID'd as victims of plane crash
(AP) — Authorities say an 18-year-old exchange student from Turkey was one of two people killed when a small World War II-era plane crashed and exploded into flames near a Phoenix-area airport.
Authorities say the 1942 North American Aviation AT-6 single-engine plane went down shortly after takeoff Tuesday evening and burned on a road that runs around the perimeter of Falcon Field Airport.
