Officials: 3 dead after train-truck collision in Mississippi

(AP) — Authorities say a father and two children were killed instantly when their pickup truck and an Amtrak train collided in a small Mississippi town.

Amtrak spokeswoman Christina Leeds said in a statement the Chicago-bound train hit the vehicle around 6:11 p.m. Wednesday.
