Andre Iguodala’s wild shot sets Warriors fans wild
Magic Johnson might have made the no-look pass a staple of basketball vernacular, but Andre Iguodala went one step further Wednesday night — the no-look basket.
Iguodala charged toward the hoop in the final minute of the first half in Game 2 of the Western Conference finals.
Oklahoma City’s Russell Westbrook sliced across the lane, unsuccessfully slapped at the ball and nearly took out Iguodala with his right leg.
The play highlighted Iguodala’s big night in Golden State’s 118-91 victory.
Beyond the impact on the scoreboard, Iguodala and his teammates energized the crowd with their surge just before halftime.
The Warriors maintained the momentum in the third quarter, outscoring the Thunder 31-19 to break the game open.
“Guys really feed off the energy of our crowd,” Iguodala said.
Durant was practically unstoppable in the first half, when he scored 23 points on an array of feathery jumpers from all over the court.
