Settlement in case of Utica, NY refugee students
UTICA, N.Y. (AP) — An agreement with school officials in the upstate New York city of Utica is meant to ensure that older refugee children are allowed to attend high school.
The New York Civil Liberties Union had sued the school district in the city over the district's practice of diverting some 17- to 20-year-olds away from public high school and into alternative programs.
