Car slams into Santa Rosa house at 100 mph
The car, a black BMW, was speeding southbound on Franklin Avenue when a lone 18-year-old driver lost control and hurtled through the front yard of a house, before careening through the driveway, garage door and into a wall, said Sgt. Chad Heiser of the Santa Rosa Police Department.
Heiser said there was no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, but that the main factor was loss of control due to speed.
Police continued to investigate the incident Thursday morning, but it was unclear if the driver was arrested at the scene.
