A 4-point line in NBA? Steve Kerr wants no part of that circus
OKLAHOMA CITY — Larry Bird, in a story in the New Yorker on Friday, offered his support for the NBA one day adopting a four-point shot.
Bird and Kerr, of course, were both outstanding three-point shooters in their playing days.
Kerr is the NBA’s all-time leader in three-point shooting percentage, at 45.4.
Curry sparks chatter about a four-point shot given his extraordinary accuracy from long distances.
[...] it seemed sensible to seek his thoughts about the possibility of adding a four-point line even farther from the basket.
[...] after thinking for a moment, he added, Obviously, the spacing on the floor is pretty comfortable right now.
Miller bashed the idea, in part, because Curry is the only player in the league who can routinely make shots of, say, 28 feet or longer.
Curry, now dealing with an elbow issue on top of earlier ankle and knee injuries, insisted he’s fine and will be ready for Game 3 on Sunday night.
