Bay Area in store for warm, sunny weekend

The Bay Area residents can look forward to a warm and sunny weekend to get outdoors after a few patches of low-lying clouds and fog along the coast blow out of the region Friday morning. Temperatures are forecast to be a few degrees warmer than average across most of the Bay Area Friday and into early next week, said Rick Canepa, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Monterey. Overall, people should expect the weekend to be about 5 degrees warmer than Friday and a few degrees warmer than average temperatures for this time of year, Canepa said. Wind gusts in some parts of the Bay Area could get up to 30 mph, but Canepa expected a clear and breezy night.
