Missouri Lottery sets high mark for education funding

The state constitution requires all Lottery revenues not used for prizes or administrative expenses to go to public K-12 schools and higher education institutions.

The Lottery says more than 65 percent of its money goes to prizes, 24 percent goes to education, 6 percent to retailers' commissions and a little more than 4 percent for administrative costs.
