Names & Faces: Ryan Lochte, Missy Franklin

Swimmers at a YMCA pool in Kansas City, Mo., were in for a big surprise when when the Olympic gold medalist and his Swim MAC teammates from Charlotte, N.C., came unannounced to swim a few laps on their way to this weekend’s U.S. Olympic trials in Omaha, Neb.

The former Cal swimmer was drafted this week by the Harlem Globetrotters, who hold an annual “draft” of those “who all embody the Globetrotters’ spirit and passion for basketball.”
