Wayne State board approves 4.1 percent average tuition hike

Wayne State's Board of Governors approved the increase Friday as part of the school's $631 million operating budget for fiscal year 2017.

Board of Governors Chair Gary Pollard said the "decision followed months of intensive discussion and careful reviews of the university's budget needs."
