Probe sought involving claims of school police misconduct
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Former Las Vegas-area school police officers have taken allegations of misconduct by an internal affairs officer to federal and state authorities, according to a newspaper report.
The complaints follow an investigation of conduct by the school police internal investigator following a fatal crash in 2009 involving an 18-year-old driver who later pleaded guilty to drunken driving.
The parents claimed there was an attempt to cover up ties between the school police department and the alleged underage drinking that led to their daughter's death.
