Accrediting agency puts Centenary College on probation

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges issued a public statement Thursday on its June 16 action citing a lack of financial stability and a lack of financial controls.

Commission spokeswoman Pam Cravey says probation isn't meant to be punitive.
