Virginia Tech extends Williams' contract through 2022-23

"Coach Williams has made a positive impact on the culture of our basketball program at Virginia Tech in a very short time," Babcock said in a release from the school.

The school also announced that Williams and his family have endowed two scholarships at the school, one to be awarded to a student at Virginia Tech with a disability and the other for a female student-athlete, preferably a minority who is also the first person in her family to pursue a college degree.
