49ers’ Lynch suspended four games
49ers outside linebacker Aaron Lynch has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the upcoming season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
“While disappointed to hear the news regarding Aaron today, we support and respect the league’s decision,” 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said in a statement.
Lynch, 23, recorded 38 tackles and tied for the team lead with 6.5 sacks last season, his second in the NFL.
Lynch, a fifth-round draft pick in 2014, signed a four-year, $2.4 million deal before his rookie season and was scheduled to make $600,000 this year.
