The retired NASCAR driver from Vallejo is rumored to be ready to pull his firesuit out of storage and come off the bench for Dale Earnhardt Jr. and one more shot at winning one of the Sprint Cup Series’ crown jewel races, the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis.
Earnhardt Jr. has been parked for this weekend’s race in New Hampshire due to concussion-like symptoms, and more absences could be ahead.
Alex Bowman will drive the No. 88 Sunday — Gordon is on vacation in France this weekend — but Gordon, the four-time NASCAR champion, could be available to go for his sixth win at the Brickyard next weekend.
The singer has released a new single, “Rise,” in which she delivers soaring vocals to match inspirational lyrics, which include the line, “Victory is in your veins.”
