Newtown rejects settlement deal of families' lawsuit
(AP) — The town of Newtown has rejected an offer from two Sandy Hook parents to settle a lawsuit over the 2012 school shooting that claimed the lives of 26 students and faculty.
The lawsuit, filed in state Superiour Court, alleges security measures at the school weren't adequate when Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 first-graders and six educators in 2012.
