UGA freshman reporting on presidential race, GOP convention

(AP) — Journalists preparing to descend on Cleveland for this week's Republican National Convention include incoming University of Georgia freshman Margaret Pfohl, who will be chronicling the event as a Chase the Race 2016 reporter.

Chase the Race is a new initiative of Envision, an experiential education organization, in partnership with Discovery Education, a website affiliated with cable television's Discovery TV.

Envision offers programs across the world allowing students from elementary school to college explore different careers.

Envision and Discovery Education are using the student reporting as an educational resource for classrooms on the major milestones of this year's presidential election, from the Iowa caucuses all the way to the presidential inauguration.

Pfohl will be reporting from the Republican National Convention, where Donald Trump is expected to be named the party's presidential nominee, from Wednesday through Friday.
