Livingston Parish science educator named La. teacher of year

The education department announced Friday that Joni Smith, a seventh grade science teacher at Albany Middle School, was selected for the award.

The education department says that during Clark's six-year tenure, the school's graduation rate has increased from 66 percent to 96 percent.
