Commerce secretary to become interim college president

(AP) — Vermont's secretary of the Agency of Commerce and Community Development will become interim president of Vermont Technical College in September.

The Burlington Free Press reports the agency created stricter controls for the special visa program through a partnership with the Department of Financial Regulation that helped to uncover what officials say was a massive fraud scheme in the Northeast Kingdom.
