Caltrain slams into vehicle abandoned on tracks in Burlingame

A southbound Caltrain hit an unoccupied vehicle on the tracks in Burlingame on Thursday morning, officials said.

The No. 138 train hit the vehicle at Broadway Avenue around 10:30 a.m., according to Caltrain officials. No injuries were reported.

The No. 138 line was running 23 minutes behind schedule as a result of the strike, officials said. The truck was removed from the scene and regular service was restored by 11:18 a.m.
