Retired Hammond firefighter among boat crash victims

(AP) — Officials say one of those killed in a Lake Michigan boat accident was a retired Hammond firefighter who was a former leader of the Lake County Marine Unit.

Lake County Sheriff John Buncich tells The (Munster) Times (http://bit.ly/2a5Of4c ) the fatal crash comes as a shock because Wade had decades of experience on the water.
