Union: State slow to improve workplace safety after killing

(AP) — A year after a social worker was killed outside a state office building, the state employees' union says Vermont hasn't done enough to protect workers.

The Human Services secretary says the Legislature allocated a finite amount of funding for building improvements so a careful planning process was undertaken.
