Woman charged with aggravated manslaughter in baby's death

(AP) — A 26-year-old woman faces aggravated manslaughter charges months after the body of her newborn baby girl was found in a trash can at a motel in north Florida.

Marion County Sheriff's Det. J. Lightle says deputies went to the motel March 8 after Alexander's friend found the baby's body.
