The Latest: History, location key to Jackson Park selection
CHICAGO (AP) — The Latest on details about the plan to build Barack Obama's presidential library in a lakeside park in Chicago's South Side (all times local):
The chairman of the Obama Foundation says Jackson Park's "iconic location" on the Chicago lakefront and its historical significance were key to its selection for Barack Obama's presidential library.
The parks preservation advocacy group Friends of the Parks said Wednesday it doesn't plan to sue over the selection of Jackson Park, as it did with the proposed sites for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art.
