Court taps retired judges to handle cases involving Hinds DA

(AP) — The Mississippi Supreme Court has named two retired judges to preside over court cases involving Hinds County District Attorney Robert Shuler Smith.

The court is also naming retired Court of Appeals Judge Larry Roberts of Meridian to preside over a total of five cases involving Smith, including some civil litigation.
