Woman pleads guilty, sentenced in boyfriend's death

(AP) — A 46-year-old Mississippi woman has pleaded guilty to capital murder in the killing and dismembering of her boyfriend and will spend the rest of her life in prison, without chance for parole.

Leah Bishop of Tupelo entered the plea Thursday before Circuit Court Judge Paul Funderburk, avoiding a jury trial and the possibility of the death penalty.
