Greg Berlanti to Develop ‘Black Lightning’ DC Superhero Series

Greg Berlanti is looking beyond the universe for his next DC comic book adaptation TV show.

The husband and wife team of Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil are writing the project, centered around one of DC comics’ first African-American superheroes, who was first introduced in 1977.
