Indiana University sets new enrollment record

(AP) — Indiana University is seeing record levels of enrollment at its Bloomington campus.

IU released the figures Wednesday based on an official count conducted Monday.

School officials say the freshman number, 2,448, reflects increased competition for a flat number of high school graduates in the state.
