Tourists help rescue man from the bay; victim critical

Two tourists from the United Kingdom found themselves in an unexpected situation Sunday, working alongside the San Francisco Fire Department to rescue a man in the bay.

At 12:17 p.m., the Fire Department responded to an incident involving a 40-year-old man at Aquatic Park, according to posts from the department’s Facebook page.

The Coast Guard used a small boat and a helicopter to search the area until late afternoon.
