The Smithsonian Institution has begun a Kickstarter campaign to raise the money so it can restore the ruby slippers from 1939’s The Wizard of Oz.

“They need immediate conservation care and a new, state-of-the-art display case, in order to slow their deterioration and protect them from environmental harm,” the Smithsonian says on Kickstarter, adding that the federal government funds the basic Smithsonian programs, but not major restorations like this.

Amid all the reports of scary clowns around the country, Target has gotten rid of creepy clown masks from many of its stores.

USA Today reported that stories of people wearing creepy clown masks have led to problems in over 20 states.

Former Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf, who retired from the bank last week amid a fake-accounts scandal, has also left the boards of Chevron and Target, according to regulatory filings.
