USU receives funding to launch sexual violence prevention
LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Utah State University has received federal funding to launch a sexual violence prevention program.
USU's Sexual Assault and Anti-Violence Information program coordinator Jennie Erazo says the grant money will be used to hire a part-time clinician and a part-time advocate for her office, will provide training to law enforcement on how to interact with victims of assault and will help create a peer education system that will train students about issues like bystander prevention and consensual sex.
